Let’s play Never Have I Ever, clothing edition.
Never have I ever:
🍻Worn a comically oversized t-shirt (for fashion purposes)
🍻Had a QR code somewhere on my clothes
🍻Thought crop tops are the cutest way to wear athleisure
🍻Covered a laptop in stickers, a bag in patches, or a car in bumper stickers
🍻Worn a bucket hat
🍻Gone big, loud, or wild with a cell phone case
Drop the number of 🍻’s that apply to you. For me it’s 🍻🍻🍻.
When we design branded merch & swag shops, one thing that continually surprises (and delights!) me are the strong opinions about what makes good merch.
Here are some real quotes I’ve heard just this month:
“I absolutely hate black mugs”
“T-shirts are lame, make everything a tank top or sweatshirt”
“All the shirts should be big, oversized”
“I hate white t-shirts”
“Baseball hats only — no trucker hats”
There is a wide range of preferences when it comes to merch, so your offering should have a wide range of options. If you’re offering just one shape of t-shirt, you’re disappointing some of your team and fans.
Offer options and you’ll have happy swag recipients!
